A terminal speed test that ends in a letter grade, A+ through F.
The problem
Most speed tests lead with download throughput. This one grades the connection on latency, jitter, packet loss and loaded overhead.
What I built
A terminal UI that runs against the Cloudflare edge and measures idle and loaded latency, packet loss, TLS handshake time and traceroute. It turns the results into a single grade from A+ to F, so the number means something.
Stack
Rust with ratatui for the interface, tokio for the concurrent measurements and rustls for TLS.
